Bon Carré Technology Center

Bon Marché Mall opened in 1960 and was the epicenter of shopping in Baton Rouge and the largest regional center in the mid-south for many years. The growth of Baton Rouge and competition from other malls followed by the movement of the center’s core clientele moving to the suburbs, the mall closed its doors in 1990. Today the Bon Marché Mall is now known as Bon Carré Technology Center. With slightly over 850,000 square-feet of commercial space, Bon Carré is a hub for technology, research and business in the greater Baton Rouge area. Currently, the property experiences high occupancy with over 30 companies and more than 2,500 employees. Bon Carré is the current home for a number of high profile national businesses, including Venyu, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cox Communications, URS and State Farm.
