The Baton Rouge Area Foundation and CPRT have taken a leadership role in developing and managing the new 35-acre Water Campus. Located at Baton Rouge’s Old City Dock, the complex will provide a shared location for scientists and engineers to study the problems confronting our coasts. The Water Campus will be developed on 35 acres along the Mississippi River. When finished it will comprise 1.5 million square feet of space inhabited by about 4,000 people—all working together to understand and better manage the complex relationship between water, land and people. Home to the Water Institute of the Gulf, the Campus will present a unique and compelling opportunity to assert a prominent global role for the city of Baton Rouge and the State of Louisiana.
